Weston has never been one to overlook details. He approached proposing to his bride-to-be Claire with that same careful attention.
He first noticed his future bride on Facebook through mutual friends. He messaged Claire after seeing her photos of her trip to Vegas with her girlfriends; he just so happened to be in the Las Vegas airport. They barely missed meeting one another a couple of times — once when she was downstairs at his family home when he was upstairs, then later when she was getting ready for a night out in Vegas while he was “liking” her photos from the Las Vegas airport. Once they began talking, Weston made sure they were never apart again for too long.
For Weston and Claire, family and heritage are an essential part of their love story. When they discovered the rich history of the Kirk Kara brand at a Diamonds Direct jeweler event, they knew they had found the perfect designer for Claire’s ring. After meeting the man and woman at the Kirk Kara table, Weston and Claire realized they had been talking with the couple from the story, Kirk and Lucy themselves! Claire says that meeting the designer of her ring and his bride was one of the many special moments that made her proposal perfect.
On their family beach trip the following summer, Claire became suspicious when Weston began acting strangely before the trip, and when his sister and mother insisted that Claire polish her nails on the night they arrived. The morning of her surprise proposal, Claire and Weston headed out early to the beach to take pictures with her new camera, and she noticed that Weston’s father was following them with a cooler. She later discovered the cooler was filled with champagne and glasses for a celebratory toast! While Claire photographed Weston in front of the lighthouse, he dropped to one knee and presented her with the Kirk Kara box containing the engagement ring of her dreams. She realized that every detail — from the stunning ring to the cooler of champagne to her photo-ready nails — had been painstakingly planned by Weston to make sure their big moment was captivatingly perfect.
